Closest to The Gamekeeper’s Inn is the Grassington Folk Museum, which focuses on the industrial development in the area and the war-time days of World War II in Yorkshire. It’s a small place with a big story to tell. It’s home to some great artefacts of the era and will captivate the minds of adults and children alike. Worth a visit if you find yourself in Grassington.
You’ll be staying in the Yorkshire Dales when you’re at The Gamekeeper’s Inn so a visit to the Dales Countryside Museum is an obvious choice of places to visit to discover more about the third largest national park in the UK. The Dales museum is located in the stunning village of Hawes housed in an old railway station. It shares the stories of the people and places all across the national park. It also has arts & crafts facilities so you can make your own souvenirs. There are also events every Wednesday & Friday for the kids through the school holidays. A great place for a couple of family to visit if you’re in the area.
When you arrive at The Gamekeeper’s we have a stand of leaflets that you can help yourself to that showcase all the different attractions and points of interest in the local area. Please just ask a member of staff for more information.
