So we've asked some of our brides to relive their special day with us by filling out a little questionnaire so we could share a little bit of the magic with you too!

The date of your wedding with us? 26th October 2019

Tell us how you met? Online

How did he or she propose? At the Shard in London. He got down on one knee at the top overlooking the London Bridge.

What was the theme for your day, and did you have a colour scheme? Rustic theme. The bridesmaids wore navy, and we had white flowers with lots of greenery.

Where did you hold your ceremony? Hubberholme Church. St Michael's and All Angels

Why did you choose The Gamekeeper’s Inn as your reception venue? Because of the stunning function room which went with our rustic theme. My sister also had her wedding there (before the function room was built) too and Stuart did an amazing job so it was a no brainer to go back and experience his amazing food and service!!

When did you know you had found THE dress? I actually bought two!!! I wore the second one and just fell in love with it. I found it at the beginning of 2019.

Who were your bridesmaids and what did they wear? My sister Rachael was maid of honour and I had Hanna as my bridesmaid who I met at uni. I also had my now nieces as mini bridesmaids.

Tell us about your floral arrangements Had my flowers designed from Flowers Design in Ripon. They were beautiful. Centerpieces were flowers and bay trees, we had white flowers with lots of greenery. They were rustic and very romantic.

Tell us about the personal touches you added to the day I decorated some of the room myself with a heaven ladder of people who had passed that were special to us. I also made a rustic suitcase for cards and also a sweet shelf..

How did you feel as you walked down the aisle? Like a Princess. I was nervous but absolutely loved it. I felt very special.

What was the most memorable moment of your day? Tricky one!! Mixture of saying our vows and hearing my husband’s speech.

Which song did you choose for your first dance and why? Elvis Presley ‘Can’t Stop Falling in Love with You’. Just such a lovely song and thought it was a bit different.

Which food and drinks did you choose to provide for your guests on the day? We had a choice of starter between prawn cocktail and leek and potato soup. We then had a mixed meat roast dinner and then the trio of desserts. The food was out of this world!

Tell us about your wedding cake It was a rustic cake with wood effect and sugar icing flowers. Simple but lovely. Patacake Celebrations made it and it tasted delicious and was very well priced!

What music and entertainment did you have on the day? We had undercover waiters at the wedding breakfast which were amazing, I completely recommend them. They created an amazing atmosphere and got everyone ready to party in the evening. They also did our disco at night and sang at party hour.

Where did you go on your honeymoon? We went for a mini-moon to Venice and then to Rome. We are having our main honeymoon this August to Orlando and then driving in a Ford Mustang convertible to Miami and staying in a hotel Elvis Presley stayed at back in the day!!

What was the most challenging aspect of planning your wedding? Making sure everything went right and keeping on top of emails!

Was there anything you wish you had known before? Nothing! My wedding was amazing, think about it every day and wish I could do it all over again!!

Do you have any advice for couples planning their wedding? Just go with the flow. You never notice the things that go wrong! Make sure you take everything in as it really is the best day of your life!!

A short review... "I cannot recommend this place enough. Stuart and Angela made our day so perfect and special; nothing was too much trouble for them! The food is out of this world and all the guests said how good it was. The room was beautiful and so was the accommodation. I really did have the best day of my life! We still talk about it now and many of our guests say it was the best wedding they have ever been to :) Thank you Gamekeeper’s for the best wedding!"
